I was thrilled to be commended at the Flourish Printmaking Award Ceremony tonight.
The winner was Sara Clark, with myself, June Russell and Moira McTague all being commended.
It feels like quite an achievement and it means a lot to me. Flourish was one of the things that inspired me to take up screen printing in the first place (to be specific, seeing Emma Lawrenson's solo show at Huddersfield Art Gallery). So to be a part of Flourish 2012 is really something special.

A Rather Tasty Screen Print
Today I was at West Yorkshire Print Workshop creating my contribution to the 20:20 Print Exchange.
I decided to use it as an opportunity to try something a little different to what I've been printing up until now. I came up with an Op Art inspired print with a Pop Arty kind of name (I did consider going a little prententious with the title, but instead opted to keep my feet very firmly on the ground!).
I present to you... "Raspberry Ripple"...
Watch out for other fruit themed screen prints coming your way.
